Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and five (5) years engineering experience.
  • Working experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
  • Working experience with performance to cost, schedule, and technical performance including Cost Accounting Methodologies (Earned Value).
  • Working experience supporting manufacturing environment, supporting live issue resolution, and establishing priorities.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Six Sigma, Lean, CORE, or American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification.
  • Working experience with performance to cost, schedule, and technical performance including Cost Accounting Methodologies (Earned Value).
  • Working experience in providing technical program support for manufacturing and/or design processes.
  • Experience with Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) or similar gate management process.
  • Experience in other functional area such as engineering, supplier engineering, or operations.
  • Effective verbal and written communication and networking skills to work with upper management and customers.
  • Hands-on experience in solving both business and technical problems.

Job Summary:
The Patriot Program Quality Lead (PQL) in Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS), will support United States and/or foreign programs within the portfolio and work as a Hybrid employee at our Tewksbury, MA or Andover, MA location.
Responsibilities include promoting and executing with a meaningful strong quality mindset, practices, knowledge sharing, and collaboration. This individual will assist in implementation of Mission Area strategic quality improvements across contracts.
This role will work to ensure the effective implementation of Quality and Mission Assurance requirements of the programs, and interface with U.S. Government Customers, Foreign Customers, Suppliers, and our internal Raytheon Quality team. The Patriot portfolio includes contracts in all Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) phases, including design and development, production, and sustainment.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Interface with the program quality teams, programs, customers, and supporting Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), supporting technical quality and financial performance, and compliance to Raytheon procedures and contractual requirements.
  • Closely interface with external and internal customers and key partners to establish effective relationships.
  • Must have the ability to manage and impact across multiple levels of stakeholders, as it is vital to the success of this role.
  • Responsible for quality of delivered products and services to our customers, stakeholders of quality risks, uncertainties and opportunities, key team members in resolution of customer expectations and relationships related to Mission Assurance and Quality.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing strategic and tactical Mission Assurance plans that will closely affect the programs’ implementation and influence.
  • Responsible for improving processes or systems using significant conceptualizing, reasoning, and interpretation skills. Problems and issues faced are numerous and undefined, and information is typically difficult to obtain.
  • Assuring inclusion of quality requirements, planning, and consistency for program proposals and subsequent management of the quality budget.
  • Monitor / lead root cause corrective action (RCCA) and FRACAS activities for systemic issues and to ensure extensive RCCA.
  • Generation of new Cost of Quality (CoQ) projects to reduce costs on the program.
  • Support implementation of APQP as applicable.
