CBRE is looking for a Sr Research Analyst to track, analyze, and report on market conditions and trends in the Washington, D.C. office market, and to support sales professionals and their clients. This position would work in the Washington, D.C. office.
What you’ll do

As a Sr Research Analyst, you will:

  • Be engaged in a fast-paced environment
  • Be responsible for collecting, analyzing and creating content of actionable, commercial insights through presentations, whitepapers and other deliverables that position CBRE as the dominant voice in the industry and market.
  • Support new business development initiatives and client engagement by developing nuanced, customized analysis and materials in support of investment and location decisions.
  • Provide data collection and analysis on the local market for global, regional and local research initiatives as needed.
  • May provide content support to leadership in order to assist in representing CBRE’s perspectives on property and market dynamics in a specific sector or geography.
  • Must be responsive to multiple internal and external constituencies: Mid-Atlantic leadership, Americas Research leadership, sales professionals, and clients.
  • Joins managers in giving formal presentations of trends to internal sales professionals, with the potential to grow into a client-facing role.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in economics, finance, business administration or related field of study; and 4-6 years of related experience. Or a Master’s Degree in the same fields, and 2+ years of related experience.
  • Identify and track commercial real estate supply and demand trends.
  • Working knowledge of the Washington, D.C. office market.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong organizational and analytical skills, and the ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to clients.
  • Strong presentation skills a plus.
  • Ability to effectively synthesize information into presentations by others at events and to clients.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, and the ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and weighted averages.
  • Solid technical skills with a proficiency Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; and amenable to learning new technologies and systems related to data collection, extraction and tracking.
