The Sr. Software Engineer will report to the Manager, Software Engineering in our downtown Chicago IL headquarters. This role contributes to the Engineering of large scale solutions that enable Echo’s business while supporting the strategic architectural vision of quality, scalability, performance and function. The Sr. Software Engineer is an active member on a dynamic team looking build Best in Class software. The ideal candidate for this role not only is able to produce high quality work quickly, but also serves as a resource to their peers around them and provides mentoring whenever possible. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Engineer to join our API Integration team. As a key player in our dynamic organization, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and optimizing API integrations on the AWS platform as well as supporting existing on-premise APIs while we migrate them to the cloud.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience (Internship experience does not apply)
  • Proven experience in designing and developing API integrations on the AWS platform.
  • Strong programming skills in C#.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven experience in mentoring and guiding junior team members.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in .Net or C#.
  • 1+ years of experience with AWS.
  • 3+ years of experience in open source frameworks
  • 2+ years of experience in Agile practices
  • Experience with AI tools and technologies, such as machine learning frameworks or natural language processing.
