JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Sr Staff Cloud and Platform Engineer is responsible for the reliability and performance of our cloud and build/release tools worldwide. We obsess over availability by building tools and engineering new systems to automate our platforms. We are software engineers with full visibility and influence across the entire stack. Provides the vision to understand, design and embed continuous integration process within SDLC. Seen as a technical leader focusing Microsoft Azure.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with minimum years of experience of 8 years

Responsibilities:

  • Provide a bastion technical expertise for the Cloud with a focus on Azure; Experience with other cloud providers is preferred (AWS, OCI, GCP, etc)
  • Ability to integrate GenerativeAI into daily workloads to aide in automation, processes and deliverables
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure and platform solutions for GE Healthcare applications, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security
  • Collaborate with application development teams to design and implement CI/CD pipelines, leveraging automation and best practices to improve development and deployment processes
  • Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues to maintain optimal performance and reliability
  • Implement and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions, ensuring consistency and repeatability across environments
  • Develop automated solutions to predict and address potential problems before they result in a service interruption
  • Define and drive architectural enhancements into processes to mitigate potential failure points
  • Provide impact assessment and mitigation plan for changes going into production environments
  • Provide technical coaching and direction to teammates
