EDUCATION

Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or related field, with 7+ years of proven experience in image processing, AI, and Machine Learning technologies.

EXPERIENCE

• Strong statistical, mathematical, and physics background to model sophisticated microscopy and biological systems.
• Proven track record to produce production-quality software products, including practical experience in:
• Multiple programming languages, including C#, C++, Python programming languages.
• Software engineering principles, such as design patterns and object-oriented programming.
• Modern agile development processes such as Scrum.
• Software architecture for complex applications.
• Expert in developing multi-threaded, quasi-real-time processing, distributed computing, and cloud-based software systems.
• Experienced in developing algorithms to target different deployment architectures (GPU, CPU) and OS (Windows, Linux).
• Supply novel ideas in applying AI/ML to tackle customer problems.
• Evaluate new technologies and read publications to consider how they can be applied to our applications.
• Research and prototype commercially viable solutions to satisfy customer requirements, utilizing prototyping tools such as Matlab, R, and Python.
• Work with customer networks, key opinion leaders, and Voice-of-Customer (VOC) resources to validate solutions.

• Strong understanding, and practical experience in designing algorithms that implement a wide range of AI/ML algorithms, including:
• Traditional image analysis and processing algorithms.
• Numerical methods, optimization algorithms.
• Statistical AI/ML algorithms.
• AI/ML algorithms such as deep learning, generative models, reinforcement learning.
