Corning Optical Communications LLC seeks Sr. Staff Engineer, System Automation to work in Plano, Texas. Drive projects to establish automated testbeds for Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) & Radio Access Network (RAN) solutions; define roadmap for & oversee implementation of DAS & RAN radio frequency (RF) testbeds; perform & coordinate conformance & performance testing of DAS & RAN solutions using automated testbeds; provide direct technical leadership & management for automation development engineers; lead engineers in developing automation systems & tools to integrate test equipment & systems; lead collaborative sessions to define automation systems & software tool development for future automation testbed use. Up to 15% domestic & international (India) travel. Required: Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Communication Theory, or closely related. 10 yrs. exp.: developing automated solutions for RF & conformance testing for DAS solutions. 8 yrs. exp. w/: RF operations for DAS. 7 yrs. exp. w/ developing automation testbeds for DAS; 5 yrs. exp. w/ project management; & Python.
