Job Description

YOUR CAREER

As a Sr Staff Software Engineer in Test Automation on our Prisma Cloud Service team, you will design, develop and deliver next-generation technologies. You will build, automate, and run testing scenarios for our products in virtualized environments. We are looking for highly technical individuals driven in their desire to get hands-on experience in complex cloud environments. You’ll work closely with our development and product management teams, testing and presenting the results to identify new approaches.
You will participate in design discussions and help make a difference in developing the future direction of our software. You will drive the efficiency and reliability of our products by testing them thoroughly to understand potential risks, bugs, or issues, providing an exemplary product experience for our end users. You strive for the best in everything you do, meaning you won’t rest until the products you work on are the highest quality. You love hunting for problems within code, seeking issues to correct, and enjoy the challenge of a code-based scavenger hunt that includes testing, providing feedback, and identifying alternative suggestions for our products’ environment.

YOUR EXPERIENCE

  • B.S or M.S degree in Computer Science related discipline or equivalent military experience required
  • 6+ years of experience as a Software test engineer with a background in cloud/network security testing
  • Experience in testing container technologies required (Kubernetes/Docker)
  • Experience with cloud technologies required - AWS, Azure, GCP
  • Excellent coding skill is a must - Python or Go
  • Experience in API testing and micro-service architecture testing
  • Experience with Unix/Linux OS
  • Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, processes, and best practices
  • Knowledge of CI/CD is a plus - Gitlab/Jenkins automation
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent team player with strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Preferred - Knowledge of CIS/Compliance standards, Vulnerability Management
  • Preferred - Experience with building a robust automation framework and monitoring tool
