Leidos is seeking a Sr. Systems Administrator in support of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). DISA acts as the provider of GIG/Defense Information System Network (DISN) services to its customers, the department of Defense (DoD), and national security organizations. The candidate must possess extensive skills and experience with both Microsoft Windows products and services as well as RedHat Linux.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of overall related experience with a Windows/Linux server environment. Specific experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Must hold an active DoD TS security clearance and be eligible for SCI.
  • Currently possess DoD 8750 certification at least IAT level II, e.g. Security+ce.
  • Expertise in managing, patching, upgrading and STIGing RHEL virtual machines
  • Experience configuring RHEL integration with RSA Securid
  • Expertise in Windows Active Directory and the various services provided including, DFS, DNS, and Certificate Authority
  • Expertise with AD GPOs- design, build, test, and sustain in multiple environments
  • Extensive experience working with all flavors of Windows especially Server2016 and Windows10
  • Experience working with virtual environments using VMware
  • Application of security settings and other commercial best practices such as DISA STIGS.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of VMware vSphere, and vCenter to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems
  • Integration of cyber security tools and systems with network performance, trouble ticketing, and security subsystems highly desired.
  • Experience with support systems to include enclave Ethernet switches, storage area networks (SAN), and network attached storage (NAS).
  • Candidates with a thorough knowledge of networking principles to included TCP/IP a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate works independently to maintain the smooth operation of a multi-user computer system including coordination with network administrators.
  • Duties include setting up user, administrator and service accounts, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocate mass storage space.
  • Test and troubleshoot integrations to confirm successful integration.
  • Communicate with customers during integration and post-integration including responding to emails, facilitating meetings or phone conversations, participating in solving technical problems
  • Author/update documentation
  • Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.
  • Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
  • Creates, maintains, and implements detailed documentation and maintains standard operating procedures.
  • Application of security settings and other commercial best practices such as DISA STIGS.
  • Provides coaching and reviewing the work of lower-level technical staff.
