JOB SUMMARY AND QUALIFICATIONS

Provides technical consultation for the full technical scope supporting acute care hospital or business entity acquisitions. This role facilitates the technical discussions with staff, subject matter experts, and leadership to modify customized implementation plans to execute the 3-phased approach for the acquisition program. This scope includes but is not limited to, provision and understanding of Leadership, Computers, Networks, Wireless, Applications, Virtualization, Storage, Active Directory, Identity Management, Business Continuity, Microsoft Office/O365, and cloud-based solutions.
This role operates in an accelerated schedule with high project visibility to deliver core IT systems and support strategic corporate initiatives in concert with various HCA business lines.

% OF TIME DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITY

25 % Responsible for creating a repeatable implementation plan and process based on the specific project and technical requirements. Assists department director with implementation strategy development, budget, vendor engagement, and resource assignments/responsibilities. Serves as “functional area” subject matter expert. Ensuring all respective Acquisition activities are completed on time, within budget, and as designed/specified while serving as the single point of contact.
20 % Creates and manages business relationships with clients (i.e., division, facility teams, business entity), internal business stakeholders, internal ITG resources, and implementation-related vendors. The primary relationship is with the client; on-site due diligence, on-site kick-off presentations, and various Go-Live support as required.
10 % Responsible for budget planning and compliance while working in conjunction with Acquisition Leadership, other Delivery Leaders, Project Management, and F&A resources
10 % Responsible for procurement cycles. Ensure timely and accurate procurement cycles – including financial receiving responsibilities for all assigned projects.
10 % Responsible for vendor engagement and oversight of implementation services related to the technical scope.
10 % Review and maintain technical documentation, checklists, and toolkits to stay current with technology and process changes.
10 % Communicate with Acquisition Leadership, Program/Project Management, and F&A with requested updates regularly.
5 % Evaluate and implement Program-level processes and cost-improvement opportunities.

EDUCATION:

Technical Training Cisco, Microsoft, VCP, or similar Preferred
Project Management PMI certified Preferred
Associate’s Degree Information Technology & Services Preferred
Bachelor’s Degree Information Technology & Services Preferred
Military/on-the-job experience

EXPERIENCE:

7 or more years required
Leadership experience required
Management experience

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • General understanding of IT hardware, networks, operating systems, software, and applications
  • High level of proficiency required within MS Office/O365: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to create trend analysis reports, budget projections, and other necessary reports and analysis
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles within HCA’s APG03 standards
  • Healthcare experience providing a well-rounded understanding of healthcare operations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation skills and the ability to write documentation
  • Understanding of Project Management principles
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Leadership skills, including the ability to p influence people not in their chain of command
  • Technical certifications preferred (Microsoft, Cisco, etc.)
  • Vendor Management experience preferred
