PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant disciplines
- 3+ years DevOps experience managing on-prem or Cloud applications
- Good understanding of software programming, software development, software releases, networking concepts, database schema, cybersecurity, and cloud computing.
- Good understanding of modern, cloud centric architectures and microservices
- Good understanding of Java applications, Node.js, ActiveMQ, Microservices, CI/CD pipelines, Azure Kubernetes Cluster, Postgres
- Good understanding of the Linux operating system, standard networking protocols, and components
- Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive.
- Ability to handle multiple assignment and perform in a diverse cross-functional team environment
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a mid-level DevOps/SRE Engineer responsible for our applications hosted in EU region. Working under general supervision, performs a variety of development and production operation duties including, but not limited to, planning, and coordinating software deployments, implementation of services involving Azure Cloud and maintenance. You will be working on various Cloud services involving PAAS and IAAS services. You will also be responsible for production support, on-call duties, monitoring, continuous automation, adapt Site reliability engineering (SRE) principles to operations problems and participate in quality, compliance, security initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Support implementation and deployment of applications on Microsoft Azure Cloud infrastructure
- Works with developers to identify potential operational issues with software and workflows before production release.
- Works with cross-functional teams and external vendors to bring software to market.
- Coordinates software and application deployments into various environments.
- Monitors and supports production environment.
- Supports Tier-2 production tickets.
- Evaluates existing processes for inefficiencies and improvements. Develops new processes to address the fast-evolving infrastructure.
- Develops tools and automation to improve workflows and processes.
- Supports all Company initiatives, policies, operating procedures, processes. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors
