Description:

If you’re looking to further your career in accounting and enjoy solving complex problems, Robert Half has a terrific long-term contract / temporary Staff Accountant position in the Healthcare/NHS industry for you to check out. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for the preparation of journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. During the monthly close, many aspects of internal reporting will be your responsibility. You will assist in developing and implementing accounting policies. In addition, you will take part in compliance, review schedules for the reporting processes, and interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits. This position is very involved as it will produce Cash Flow projections, Budgets, and Financial Statements. Your responsibilities

  • Take part in various department-wide initiatives
  • Maintain intricate journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll
  • Carry out fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation
  • Partake in annual closing processes
  • Oversee the creation of monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for reporting to management
  • Report on a wide variety of financial data and communicate it in a useful and understandable manner
  • Carry out month end close, journal entries, without supervision
  • Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested
  • Help with the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
  • Support capital lease and monthly payment schedules
  • Recent and relevant accounting experience
  • Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
  • Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
  • Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
  • Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
  • General ledger experience preferred
  • Expertise in NetSuite
  • Solid understanding of Coupa
  • Deep understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
  • General ledger experience highly desired
  • Knowledgeable of ERP systems
  • Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines
  • Exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills
  • BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
