Description:
We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Atlanta, Georgia. This role involves handling a variety of accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management. The successful candidate will play a key role in our team, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.
Responsibilities:
- Apply customer payments and assist in statement processing
- Communicate with customers to resolve any queries they may have
- Reconcile bank statements, including general ledger entries
- Handle accounts payable duties such as entering invoices for processing, liaising with vendors about outstanding balances, and reconciling monthly statements from vendors
- Conduct weekly check runs
- Handle special projects and additional functions as required
- Assist in the month-end close process, including bank reconciliations and journal entries
- Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for various tasks
- Maintain a thorough understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
- The candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar role
- Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required
- Experience with Bank Reconciliations is necessary
- Knowledge of General Ledger maintenance is essential
- Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries is required
- Experience with Month End Close procedures is necessary
- Proficiency in using NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP accounting software is required
- The candidate must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential
- The candidate must have strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
