JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Accounting team is building out scalable systems and processes to support company expansion, while maintaining standards for accuracy and accountability. This role will play an integral role in designing and building these processes, as well as collaborating with business partners to implement them throughout the organization.

Staff Accountant Responsibilities

  • Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts
  • Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assisting with monthly close processes
  • Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Meeting processing and reporting deadlines
  • Responding to information requests from Brokerage Offices
  • Reviewing financial statements and assisting with audits
  • Ensuring compliance with GAAP
  • Assisting the Accounting Manager and Controller with special projects, as needed

Staff Accountant Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
  • 0 - 3 years of accounting experience
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and time management skills
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
