STAFF ACCOUNTANT OPPORTUNITY

Key responsibilities include assisting with tax planning, preparing financial statements, supporting small business accounting functions, and investigating complex tax queries.

Responsibilities:

  • Handling accounts payable
  • Logging cash receipts and tracking accounts receivables
  • Preparing essential journal entries
  • Conducting monthly bank and account reconciliations
  • Processing payrolls and completing payroll returns quarterly/annually
  • Filing sales tax returns
  • Preparing and evaluating monthly financial reports
  • Assisting in preparing individual and business tax returns • Executing other assignments as requested by clients or team members

Is this job for you?

  • You hold an Associate Degree in Accounting (minimum)
  • You possess at least one year of relevant work experience, with public accounting experience preferred
  • You are adept with accounting software systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Thomson Reuters products), along with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • You are comfortable with new learning opportunities and can contribute to the team’s ongoing growth
  • You demonstrate excellent communication skills and can efficiently liaise with clients and internal staff
  • You showcase robust technical, analytical, and organizational skills
  • You can meet deadlines and manage pressure professionally and positively
