Description:

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and dependable individual to join their team as a Staff Associate for their clinical program. The Staff Associate is responsible for supporting a team of clinicians, as well as the administrative functioning, development, and maintenance of the clinical program. The Staff Associate serves as a liaison between their clinicians and their patients and families.
Our client is an independent, national nonprofit dedicated to transforming the lives of children and families struggling with mental health and learning disorders. They work to deliver the highest standards of care, advance the science of the developing brain, and empower parents, professionals, and policymakers to support children when and where they need it most.
Reporting to the Senior Staff Associate, this is a non-exempt, full-time position located at their NYC headquarters.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the entire clinical team to provide an outstanding patient experience for families receiving care
  • Provide administrative support to their clinical team
  • Approach all new patients for consent to participate in their research initiatives
  • Manage clinicians’ calendars, ensuring efficiency of clinician time, and schedule appointments in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
  • Facilitate the flow of phone and email communication between clinicians and their patients and families
  • Act as the point person for patients and their families, and support them throughout the treatment experience
  • Collect initial patient information, perform intakes and coordinate evaluations with the appropriate clinician
  • Manage high priorities and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
  • Resolve urgent, sensitive, and confidential issues with discretion and integrity, and strictly protect personal health information
  • Assist with training of new support staff and provide team coverage when necessary
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 1-2 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
  • Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills, including conflict resolution
  • Ability to appropriately handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain patient confidentiality
  • Professional demeanor and attitude; ability to interface with families as well as senior leadership, clinicians, and staff
  • Self-starter and team player able to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Thorough, accurate, and conscientious about assignments
  • Positive attitude, energetic, and interested in working in health care
  • Prior experience in an administrative role preferred

The anticipated salary range for this position is $50,000-$60,000 annually.
