- Argus Consulting is seeking qualified individuals to fill a Staff Engineer – Civil position. The position will be located in our Overland Park KS or Atlanta GA office.
- Projects include design, inspection, and asset integrity services associated with the receipt, storage, transmission and dispensing of fuels and other hydrocarbon systems and related infrastructure for commercial airports, railroad companies, military installations and oil terminals worldwide and cover a broad spectrum in size, ranging from small single tank operations to multi-million-dollar fuel storage and distribution facilities.

APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 4 years experience in Civil Engineering. Experience with fuels, oil and gas, commercial aviation, military aviation, or rail infrastructure projects is preferred but not required.
- Licensed Professional Engineer is preferred, or able to acquire licensure within one year, with a bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
- This position requires an individual capable of applying engineering to diverse fuels/hydrocarbon system planning, design, inspection, analysis and construction assignments.
- Successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Successful candidate shall be a self-starter and work well on multiple project teams simultaneously.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Civil engineering, planning, design and construction follow-on services for aviation, rail, and terminal facilities and systems at commercial airports, military installations, rail yards and petroleum terminal facilities.
- Assist Lead Engineers and Project Managers in the planning, development, and execution of multidisciplinary design and construction projects.
- Project assignments may include; facility/system investigations, concept development reports, technical analysis, feasibility studies, engineering design, construction drawings and details, technical specifications and other duties common to the practice of Consulting Engineering.
- Assistance in the development of technical standards, procedures and documents for each of our market segments.
- Professional interaction with Clients and design team members necessary to prepare and deliver contract documents and services of the highest quality, including written and verbal communications.
- Provide construction support services including compliance submittal review, response to RFIs, field oversight, and commissioning.
- Design associated with fuel facility, airport, and military programs including site layout, grading, vehicle movements, paving, and utility plans and profiles to include fuel piping, stormwater, sanitary, and water.
- Periodic travel associated with inspections, client coordination meetings, troubleshooting, construction site visits, etc.
