As a Staff Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for contributing to the mechanical design and development of Shield AI’s autonomous UAV products. You will help architect new products, perform the detailed design of complex electro-mechanical assemblies, and will use best in class design and analysis tools. You will collaborate closely with internal and/or external partners to prototype, test and release products to production. You will also help ensure product features achieve performance, schedule and reliability goals.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent with 5+ years’ experience
- Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals
- Experience with 3D CAD, CAE, and PLM systems.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication
- You have a demonstrated record of working hard, being a trustworthy teammate, holding yourself and others to high standards, and being kind to others.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent.
- Leadership experience on a project team
- Problem solving skills including root cause investigation, failure analysis, and DOE
- Experience using Siemens NX
$110,000 - $243,000 a year
- Posted salary spans across several levels depending on skills and experience alignment. The interview process will help our team further evaluate your overall fit within he compensation range.
