Nottingham Children’s Hospital (NCH) is pleased to announce we have vacancies for both newly qualified* nurses and experienced registered nurses.

We are also happy to accept applications from experienced adult registered nurses that have experience in paediatric settings. To be considered you must be willing to undertake further children’s specific training and development packages.

• Pre-Pin Nurses must be qualified by Winter 2024, to be eligible to apply

We have opportunity’s in rotational posts, and for specific wards/departments including but not limited to;
Children’s Assessment Unit - A fast paced medical area, where you will gain a wealth of knowledge and skills in patient assessment.
Ward E17 - Childrens Renal
Ward D34 and D35 - Across our surgical pathway you will be able to enhance skills in caring for patients covering a multitude of specialist surgery’s including; cleft lip and palate, spinal, ENT, orthopaedic and gastrointestinal.
Paediatric Critical Care Units - where you will have the opportunity to enrol on the structured foundation programmes.
Ward E39 - Children’s Oncology
Ward E40 - Children’s Neurology and Spinal
Ward D33 - General Medical
We also have day case areas such as our surgical and medical daycare, children’s outpatients department and oncology daycare.

As a registered nurse at Nottingham Childrens Hospital you will be expected to maintain a high standard of clinical work when carrying out nursing procedures.

Nottingham Children’s Hospital is set within the vibrant city of Nottingham known for its many historical sites and lively music scene. The children’s hospital is housed within the Queens medical centre campus and has 116 inpatient beds across 8 inpatient wards covering all specialitys, with many of our specialitys being regional centres as well as two neonatal intensive care units one based at our City hospital campus.
We have an innovative Preceptorship programme to support newly qualified staff during their crucial transition period from student nurse to registered nurse as well bespoke support for those joining our teams.
