Description:

Pam Sassoa Renal Planned Investigation Unit is predominantly a nurse led service with Medical support from the Nephrology and Surgical teams.
Investigations/procedures carried out include but are not exclusive to: Renal biopsy; renal angiograms; dialysis access; pre –op assessment and minor day case surgery; Blood transfusions, Monoclonal antibody infusion; ongoing intravenous antimicrobial therapy and intravenous iron therapy and Pentamidine inhalation.
You will be expected to work alongside the Senior Sister and collaborate with a team of nurses to deliver excellent nursing care for our patients. Cannulation and venepuncture skills are preferable but not essential.
To provide high quality, effective, individualised care to all patients by assessing care needs and developing, implementing and evaluating them without supervision
To assist the ward manager in leading the nursing team and deputies in their absence
Monitor standards of nursing care and take appropriate action to maintain and improve them
To respond to patients, relatives and carers concerns as they arise and take remedial action as require
