An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the AB2 gynae west ward team in a staff nurse role.

  • Enhance your surgical, oncology, and gynaecological nursing skills in a supportive environment.
  • Deliver excellent post-operative care to your patients.
  • Collaborate with members of the multidisciplinary team, including pain specialists, gynaecology/oncology nurses, and stoma specialists.
  • Rotate to the different gynae specialist, expanding your skills and knowledge in this area.
    As part of the Multidisciplinary Team, you will receive additional support from our Clinical Practice Educator. There are numerous learning opportunities available, including wound care, stoma management, pain management, health promotion, patient education, pre-operative assessment clinics, peri-operative care, and complex discharge planning.
    Caring for this patient population is highly rewarding and offers ample opportunities for further specialization and role development.
    To develop and maintain the highest specialised nursing care to all patients undergoing gynaecological investigations and procedures, providing a high level of information and support.
    To be responsible for all aspects of patient care including the assessment, planning, deliver and evaluation of direct patient care of patients on the ward and in the Day Unit.
    To liaise appropriately with all key members of the multidisciplinary team and services users related to AB2 gynae west ward.
    To support the Ward Manager and Senior Staff Nurses to monitor the safety and quality of care for patients.
    In the absence of the Ward Manager and Senior Staff Nurses, be responsible for the day-to-day management of the ward.
