Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is proud to care for patients in our Ambulatory Emergency Care (AEC) unit at Charing Cross Hospital. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic band 5 staff nurse to join the team!
We have a full time position in our AEC department at Charing Cross Hospital.
You need to be passionate about providing high quality, emergency same day care in this fast paced, evolving and exciting area of acute emergency care. You must have excellent communication skills and be excited about being part of an innovative nursing team. For this band 5 post it would be beneficial to have 6 months experience as a qualified nurse and be able to administer intravenous medications and fluids and be competent in cannulation and venepuncture.
This is an exciting time to join Ambulatory Emergency Care as we increase the numbers of patients attending the service. We see approximately 40-70 patients a day, with varying presentations including renal colic, DVT, cellulitis, low risk chest pain and many more. We work closely with the Emergency Department, taking many patients from the Urgent Care Centre, ED triage and LAS as well as those who are referred in by their own GPs, 111 and 999.
This post consists of a mixture of long days (0800-2030) and long day B shifts (0930-2200) and includes weekends, but no nights.
