Responsibilities:

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

As a Nurse (Paediatric) at our clinic in Pasir Ris, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care to paediatric and general practice patients. Your responsibilities will encompass both clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring a seamless and patient-centric healthcare experience. You will be required to perform nursing procedures, assist doctors in various medical procedures, and contribute to the efficient functioning of the clinic.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Assist doctors in medical procedures, particularly those related to paediatrics and general practice.
  • Administer vaccines and perform venipuncture for paediatric and general practice patients.
  • Conduct procedures in the treatment room, including but not limited to Tonometry, Spirometry, Audiometry, Nebulizer, ECG, and dressing changes.
  • Perform stress ECG tests as required.
  • Assist in Code Blue or any other clinical procedures assigned.
  • Practice within your assessed competence, adhering to SNB code of practice and core competencies to ensure patient and personal safety.
  • Demonstrate proper use and care of medical and IT equipment.
  • Handle patient registration and ensure completion of the visit.
  • Utilize Clinic Management System and other portals effectively.
  • Manage patients’ records in compliance with the PDPA Act.
  • Undertake administrative duties as directed by the Clinic Manager or Ops Manager.
  • Maintain effective communication with patients and team members.
  • Supervise and mentor less experienced staff, demonstrating people management skills.
  • Respect the values, customs, spiritual beliefs, and practices of individuals and groups.
  • Articulate FHG Purpose and Shared Values in daily work.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Ensure timely billing in Clinic Management System and insurance portals.
  • Perform duties as assigned by the Clinic Manager and through training programs (e.g., CSSD, Audiometry, Phlebotomy, Swabbing, etc.).
  • Manage clinic supplies inventory and equipment maintenance.
  • Assist the Medical Records Office with Corporate summary reports or MOM reporting.
  • Uphold infection control standards.
  • Adhere to organizational policies, procedures, standards, and protocols.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement activities.
  • Perform any additional duties assigned by Clinic Manager or Ops Manager.
