As a Staff Systems Engineer at Stryker, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving product development from inception to execution. You’ll be deeply involved in understanding user needs, refining product definitions, and crafting exceptional user experiences. Seeking a strong individual with expertise in AI/ML and Generative AI initiatives. The role requires managing the end-to-end lifecycle of technical projects, from ideation through implementation, with an emphasis on AI-driven solutions.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED: (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering field (Biomedical, Software, Electrical).
  • 4+ years of experience in software, electrical, or electro-mechanical engineering fields, preferably in a regulated product development.
  • Experience leading 2 or more products through the complete development lifecycle.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of agile product development and life-cycle management process.
  • Experience with feature prioritization and product roadmap tradeoffs.
  • Familiarity/experience with AI/ML and Generative AI.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Concept Phase: Collaborate with teams to research user needs, develop intelligence roadmaps, explore new technologies, and generate product design concepts.
  • Development Phase: Serve as the R&D product owner, documenting key decisions, fostering collaboration, and driving consensus across teams. Leading Technical Design Reviews
  • Execution Phase: Lead cross-functional teams to solve technical and usability challenges, ensuring design integrity throughout the development lifecycle.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform research to understand market needs and identify customer pain-points that can be solved by connected Intelligent systems.
  • Develop detailed, crisp business requirements and user stories that can be used to create product specifications.
  • Manage trade-offs among customer experience, performance, profitability, and operational support load.
  • Work alongside hardware and software teams to deliver products/ features on time, with quality.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams to execute product launches.
  • Improve product operations efficiency.
