Western Midstream is a master limited partnership formed to own, develop, acquire, and operate midstream assets. We are engaged in the business of gathering, compressing, treating, processing, and transporting natural gas; gathering, stabilizing, and transporting condensate, natural gas liquids (NGLs), and crude oil; and gathering, transporting, and disposing of produced water for our customers.
We operate or own equity interests in assets in the Rocky Mountains, North-central Pennsylvania, and Texas, including approximately 16,000 miles of petroleum and natural gas pipelines and over 100 gathering, treating, and processing facilities.

JOB SUMMARY

This position is in Western Midstream’s corporate office in The Woodlands, TX as a member of the Corporate Risk team.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Understanding and knowledge of Energy industry. Midstream experience a plus.
  • Enthusiastic team player capable of managing multiple assignments across groups.
  • Intellectual curiosity and willingness to ask questions to understand the why and how of something.
  • Demonstrated experience communicating clearly and effectively across group functions and with fellow team members.
  • Effective written and verbal communication

EDUCATION

Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering or Business Administration or in lieu of a Bachelors Degree, 5-yrs of additional relevant work experience

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

The percentage of travel required for this position is up to 20%.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads efforts to gather and analyze data for insurance renewals.
  • Works closely with Director, Risk Management to develop and make underwriter presentations.
  • Works directly with internal stakeholders to develop and manage insurance premium allocations.
  • Coordinate and manage all certificates of insurance and auto ID cards.
  • Review and process insurance premium invoices.
  • Develop and maintain an accurate statement of values.
  • Coordinate and attend annual risk engineering inspections and track/manage all recommendations.
  • Gather and submit data for insurance audits.
  • Work closely with Legal, Supply Chain, and Safety to review changes to insurance requirements for Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and other contracts.
  • Assists other WES teams with questions regarding coverage and limits.
  • Update and monitor compliance and insurance procedures.
  • Reports and manages all claims (e.g., workers’ compensation, general liability, pollution, and property).
  • Review all insurance policy wordings to ensure compliance with operational and contractual requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve WES’s risk management program.
  • Educate and train WES employees on Risk Management.
  • Support Risk team with other tasks and projects as needed.
