The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00-$286,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.

WHAT YOU’LL DO…

Walmart Global Tech is looking to hire a Staff Software Engineer, (Change Management) for our Sunnyvale office. As the IT change manager, you are at the center of addressing this challenge with responsibility for standardizing the methods, tools and procedures for proficient and prompt handling of all changes to the IT infrastructure. You will protect the live environment by ensuring efficient control and scheduling of software and hardware modifications, and by preventing the multiple upgrades that can create unpredictable outcomes. You will be responsible for ensuring that service levels and targets agreed with the business are met during change, and that problems are investigated and resolved in a timely manner to minimize disruption.
Are you a leader in the IT industry with 5+ years of experience working as a Change Manager leading teams of minimum 5+ people & d eep understanding of information security procedures and compliance ? Do you have e xperience assessing change proposals, authorizing and documenting standard changes and referring significant changes to the CAB for assessment ? Do you consider yourself as someone with a growth mindset who will raise the technical bar, and identify opportunities to improve existing processes, tools and systems to achieve high scale and productivity? Do you come with e xperience controlling the application of functional updates, software or hardware additions and maintenance activities to ensure the integrity of the system? Do you have experience minimizing service disruption as a consequence of changes and adhere to a defined service level agreement (SLA)? Do you have experience assessing the results of the change implementation to make lessons learned? Are you experienced participating in relevant Engineering and Technical Operations workgroups and on-call rotations to assure service availability and operational excellence?
About Team : Global Tech Service Management Team aims to ensure operational excellence through continuous improvement, adaptive operational practices, standardization and automation to delivery high quality services. The vision is to provide customer focused, cost effective and resilient services by operationalizing best practice frameworks into value-added ways of working. Functions handled are Problem Management, Change Management and Global Process.

WHAT YOU’LL DO :

  • The primary purpose of the IT Change Management Manager is to collaborate with change stakeholders to implement change management plans that minimize disruption to the production environment while successfully managing the deployment of the change. The Change Manager will drive the effective implementation and adherence to the change management and ensure that IT maintains a stable environment. The Change Manager will also support project and operational teams in integrating change management activities into their project plans or creation of tickets.
  • The Change Manager will oversee the deployment of change management methodologies and procedures to guide the adoption process. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem solving skills to help maximize the benefit of the changes implemented and provide guidance and course corrections when necessary.
  • Responsible for overseeing and coordinating the Global Change Management Process and Procedures. Responsible for operational aspects of the Change Management process including accepting, screening submitted changes to ensure they meet standards, and reporting the status of Changes, as well as preparing and orchestrating the change advisory board (CAB) Agenda and publishing approved changes.
  • Develop, coordinate, and perform the final quality check of implementation schedule of change for all Changes and maintenance efforts. Identifies and initiates actions for continuous improvement.
  • Escalate identified potential risks, provide guidance on solutions to address the risks and anticipated points of resistance, and develop specific plans with the change submitter of the change request to mitigate or address the concerns including communication plan, back out plan, deployment plan and issue management plan (when necessary). Work with the change requester to ensure all impacted groups or technologies are identified.
  • Create and manage measurement targets to track adoption of change process, utilization and proficiency of individual change requests. Provide analysis of resistance issues, root causes and performance gaps, and work to develop and implement corrective actions.
