ABOUT YOU

As a Staff Software Engineer, you will:

• Collaborate within cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
• Lead and motivate engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
• Analyse complex backend challenges and propose efficient solutions.
• Be available for a hybrid work model, attending the office in Lisbon twice a week.
• Possess over 8 years of professional experience, with a significant focus on backend development.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Java, Kotlin or Scala, with expertise in advanced coding patterns and practices.
• Have experience with testing frameworks like JUnit and Mockito.
• Deep understanding of backend performance optimization and security best practices.
• Have experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or containerized infrastructure (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Familiarity with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.

Nice to Haves:

• Experience with event-driven systems and focused on high availability.
