We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to work on the design, implementation, and testing of a patient monitoring software. The focus will be in the development of service interface that utilizes common web technologies.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience in backend programming (REST API / WSGI, Python).
  • Experience in frontend programming (JS / TS, Angular / Angular JS).
  • Experience in git.
  • Experience in development under Linux.
  • Self-starter—eager and quick to learn and experiment.
  • Strong communication, problem solving, critical thinking, analytic and trouble-shooting skills.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
  • Legally authorized to work in Finland.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Network problem debugging skills.
  • Experience in object-oriented design in C++, other modern SW methodologies, and agile software development.
  • Experience in a complex system with multiple processors in the data chain.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop backend and frontend software for a service application that makes it possible to install, configure, maintain, and update features and functions of the patient monitors.
  • Use various tools and processes to develop robust and high-quality software, meeting the requirements of the medical industry.
  • Drive excellence and continuous improvement in software development methods and tools.
  • Work as an active member of a collaborative and multi-disciplinary agile team.
  • Take full responsibility for software development, including reviews, testing, and documentation.
  • Interact seamlessly in a cross-functional, multi-cultural, and global environment.
