As a Staff Systems Engineer, you will use your expertise in infrastructure automation to build innovative, reliable solutions for our customers, enhancing their operational efficiency and reliability. TECHNICAL SKILLS:
We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team;
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) – Terraform Enterprise, Ansible, Puppet
- Scripting Languages – JavaScript, Python, BASH, PowerShell and PowerCLI
- DevOps – Code Pipelines, TeamCity, GitHub, Jenkins, SonarQube
- Experience in VMware Aria/vRealize Automation 8.x
- Experience with VMware Aria Operations (vAOps) and Aria Operations for Logs (vAOL)
- General VMware Infrastructure Experience - vSphere, vSAN, NSX
- Load Balancing Knowledge using F5 (LTM/GTM) and/or NSX ALB (AVI)
- Networks, Layer 2-4 protocols, DNS, IPAM, eg. Infoblox
- Understanding of Object-Oriented Concepts and Patterns
- Experience with RESTful API Development
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
- VMware Certified Professional-Cloud Management and Automation (VCP-CMA)
- Terraform Associate Certification or equivalent knowledge of Terraform Enterprise
- Knowledge and understanding of VMware Cloud Foundation
