Description:
We currently have an exciting leadership opportunity available within the DHL Global Forwarding Australia team - Station Manager – SYD which is based in our Sydney office located at Matraville, NSW.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Implement business strategy in line with DHL’s vision and strategy, standards, and guidelines.
- Lead Station sales, marketing, and operations, and oversee accounting, purchasing, personnel, and/ or financial functions.
- Ensure the Station’s P&L and cash objectives are met.
- Lead Station performance and plans for improvement.
- Explore, identify growth opportunities, and propose market development plans.
- Use First Choice tools to improve, change, or adapt existing methods, techniques, and/or processes to be more efficient.

Responsibilities:
Station Manager SYD key responsibility includes:
Leading the Sydney Station to achieve employer-of-choice, customer-of-choice, and investor-of-choice objectives in line with DHL’s vision and strategy, standards, and guidelines including compliance with Country legislation /policies.This role has a direct reporting team of 10 and a full-time equivalent employee responsibility of 217.
People Management
- Develop a high-performance service culture within the Station.
- Station management which includes multiple teams led by Managers and Team Leaders.
- Ensure adherence to OHS, Quality & BCM local processes.
- Manage the allocation of appropriate resources and employees’ commitment to achieving Global, Regional, and Country & Station objectives and targets.
Customer/Stakeholder
- Develop strong, trusting relationships with senior business leaders across DHL and the market.
- Ensure effective customer service through a process-orientated approach that delivers reliable service.
Leads negotiations with quality external suppliers and ensures reliability of services provided.Active member of our Senior Management Team (SMT).
