We are inviting applications for the role of a Statutory Lead Accountant - Assistant Manager – English – Remote Poland
The Operational Controllership team provides support for our client’s financial activities for our affiliates across 31 countries in Europe, working closely with the local/regional business controllership teams.

Responsibilities

  • Review of US GAAP accounting records, journal entries, source documents and account reconciliations
  • Preparing and posting necessary adjustments to US GAAP to ensure alignment with local accounting and tax requirements
  • Supporting financial statement preparation
  • Supporting year-end statutory closing activities
  • Preparing statistical, NBP and similar reporting
  • Supporting internal and external audits and tax inspections
  • Preparing basic financial data for Transfer Pricing documentation
  • Issuing AR invoices
  • Other financial related tasks
  • Ensure implementation and understanding of the financial policies and procedures in compliance with local legislation and the company rules
  • Ensure compliance to finance standards and practices
  • Lead all aspects of operations and support the junior accountants in the team
  • Be the primary point of contact for Auditors, Controllers
  • Ensure Internal controls are in place and take a leading role in mitigating risks

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Significant years multi-GAAP accounting experience
  • Proficiency in English language
  • Intermediate in Polish language
  • Has a deep understanding of how operational processes link to the financial statements
  • Understand the interdependencies of key financial metrics / ratios.

Soft Skills

  • Effective interpersonal skills and highly professional style when taking care of country affiliates & business partners
  • Highly organized with consistent track record to meet commitments
  • Able to prioritize / re-organize to work through roadblocks
  • Is comfortable to execute through uncertainty and adopt change in response to new information.

Preferred qualifications

  • Computer Literacy: MS Office, particularly Excel
  • ERP system (Oracle or SAP)
  • Polish Statutory knowledge
  • ACCA certificate
