As a Cook at Villa Restaurant Group, you will play a key role in preparing high-quality dishes for our Guests, following established recipes and maintaining food safety standards. You will work as part of a culinary team to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Standing and working in a fast-paced kitchen environment for extended periods.
  • Lifting and carrying heavy pots, pans, and trays.
  • Bending, stooping, and reaching.

Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes, portion sizes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.

  • Recipe Adherence: Follow recipes and guidelines to ensure consistent food quality, taste, and appearance.

  • Food Safety: Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards, including proper food storage, handling, and temperature maintenance.
  • Station Setup: Set up and organize workstations with all necessary ingredients, utensils, and cooking equipment.
  • Cooking Techniques: Utilize various cooking methods, such as grilling, frying, sautéing, baking, and broiling, to prepare dishes to order.
  • Quality Control: Inspect food products for quality, freshness, and taste to maintain high culinary standards.
  • Timing: Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure that all dishes are prepared and served promptly and simultaneously.
  • Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, including proper cleaning of cooking equipment and utensils.
  • Menu Knowledge: Stay informed about menu items, daily specials, and any allergen information to assist Guests with menu choices.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with kitchen staff, including chefs, sous chefs, and fellow cooks, to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with Team Members and front-of-house staff to ensure accurate and efficient order preparation.
