We are currently looking for an energetic, hard-working Sterilizer MH to work full-time permanent on our Afternoon shift (Monday to Friday 15:00-23:00) at our Alliston facility. Starting wage is $28.00/hour plus applicable shift premium. We offer an Employee Stock Purchasing Plan, Defined contribution pension plan and medical/dental benefits on your first day!

Responsibilities:

The Sterilizer MH is responsible for sterilizing batches of intravenous solution along with performing set-up, adjustments and troubleshooting equipment to produce a quality product in a safe and efficient manner. Filling out CWR’s to the proper sterilization vessels, along with cleaning vessels, and all other equipment used in the department.
Employees will be assessed throughout the program and their job performance to ensure they are successfully learning the vital skills and qualifications. In order to achieve this, we will be partnering with local educational institutions to develop and implement a comprehensive training program for operators to successfully troubleshoot, maintain and set up the equipment

Duties performed on a rotational basis

  • Perform complete minor repairs as required.
  • Prepare vessels for sterilization, changing and cleaning nozzles, checking pumps and all equipment at sterilization to be in good working order. Clean and sanitize facility and equipment per SOP.
  • Perform the required BMTS entries as required
  • Perform cleaning to maintain the department according to GMP.
  • Successfully participate in, and pass, the classroom and practical training requirements.
  • Provide oversight to the Sterilization Process through actively troubleshooting equipment and system issues across all 3 shifts.
  • specifications and make all necessary adjustments.
  • Support EMS implementation which includes maintaining the department in 6S condition, tracking production, identifying root cause and counter measures and participating in the IDEAS program.
  • Complete basic Preventative Maintenance on equipment and active participation in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) teams and improvements.

Duties performed on a continual or intermittent basis

  • Learn, understand and apply thorough quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
  • Notify the supervisor and take appropriate action if any safety, quality, mechanical or discrepancy issues occur
  • Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles
