A Steward works hands on and performs specified cleaning duties in designated areas of the kitchen and outlet to maintain their cleanliness and hygiene, achieving efficient service delivery.
What will I be doing?
As the Steward, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Maintain proper personal hygiene habits.
- Check & ensure that dishwashing machines are operating properly.
- Able to do de-liming of dishwashing machines to ensure that the machines are able to produce clean equipment.
- Changing of water of dishwashing machine.
- To ensure dishes are cleaned and placed back properly on shelves.
- Bleaching / removing of stains from chinaware & glassware.
- Chemical knowledge / cleaning supplies.
- Area of cleanliness & floor mopping.
- Setting of hot box & dishing out plates.
- Setting up a decoy area.
- Washing of pots & pans and sanitizing process.
- Burnishing of silverware by using ball-bearing machine.
- Manual silverware polishing.
- Handling of emergencies
- To do any other work as requested by the Management.
