Description:

Location: Squamish, BC Closing Date: Open until position filled.

Salary: $27.81/hr. plus Benefits
Work Hours: 28hr/week Monday-Friday, with flexibility to work outside these hours as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree or acceptable equivalent combination of education and
    experience.
  2. Minimum of two (2) years of related experience in an administrative, communications,
    and/or fundraising environment
  3. Experience with a donor database and MS Office
  4. Experience with graphic design software an asset.

REQUIREMENTS FOR EMPLOYMENT:

• All successful applicants must pass the vulnerable sector Criminal Record Check

applicable to Provincial guidelines.

Vacation & Leave: Employees will accumulate 6% vacation pay on all hours worked. This
equates to a vacation accrual of 15 days or 3 weeks’ vacation per year.

Responsibilities:

Donor Relations and Stewardship
1. Support the development and implementation of the recognition and stewardship

programs, policies, and procedures, including:

  • Ensure timely, appropriate and accurate acknowledgement of gifts, thank

donors, and receipt gifts.

  • Coordinate recognition in accordance with the donor, sponsor and name

recognition policies and programs

  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team to publicly recognize

gifts, grants and other funding in alignment with donor recognition structure

  • Draft recognition correspondence and respond to inquiries from donors
  • Support the system of valued contacts with donors and funders
  1. Support the Executive Director, Director of Revenue Development and Senior
    Development Officer/Capital Campaign Officer to steward donors and support
    volunteers.

  2. Coordinate and Support Impact Reporting by:

  • Assist with the production of impact reporting for donors, foundations and other

funders, including curate data and stories of impact

  • Assist with the production of the Annual Impact Report and impact information

shared on the website.

  • Work in partnership with the Marketing team in the development of content and

stories
4. Assist with annual/regular appeals and related individual donor initiatives.
5. Coordinate or assist in interfacing with third-party fundraising initiatives and events.
Database Management
1. Manage and maintain the donor database, including help to establish processes,
update constituent records, record and track donations, pledges, and grants, share
regular reports, and ensure donor records are up-to-date and accurate.
2. Ensure all donor and prospect contacts and activities are recorded in the database.
3. Support the team with the recording and tracking of grant information in the Donor
Database Management system, in collaboration with the Corporate Administration team
(opportunity tracking, grant deadlines, reporting due dates)
4. Liaise with database provider for tech support.
5. Accurately record any directed gifts and collect written directions from donors.
6. Ensure that current donor’s email contacts are added to the general SSCS newsletter list.
7. Maintain and update the Donor Database Manual.
Administration
1. Support the Revenue Development Department by scheduling regular team meetings,
preparing agendas and keeping minutes.
2. Assist with the submission of expense reports and tracking of spending.
3. Assist with the overall management of the Revenue Department calendar.
4. Ensure details regarding donations are communicated to SSCS team members as
appropriate, including the Finance Team, Corporate Administration, Program Directors
and Program Managers.
5. Assist the Revenue Development team with research on stewardship best practices and
prospect research.
Other
1. Assist with any Development or Fundraising events such as preparation of invitations,
tracking RSVPS, and other event tasks.
2. Assist with grant applications and reporting as needed.
3. Other responsibilities as they arise.
