STORE MANAGER - CAPE TOWN - HERMANUS

Overview:
Our client, a leading retail company with a nationwide presence, boasting a network of 200 stores strategically located across the country has several Store Supervisor/ Management vacancies available in Westerncape.
We currently seek a Store Manager for our Hermanus Branch.
Salary - Basic plus commission

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3 5 years management experience preferably in the clothing sector.
  • Must be an effective communicator with strong leadership skills
  • Strong customer service ethic
  • Work scheduled on Retail Hours

Job Description:

  • Develop, implement, and manage sales team and merchandising strategy to achieve profitability and sales targets
  • Communicate with and motivate employees and customers, resolving issues and initiating corrective action
  • Ensure a safe and clean work environment
  • Maintain a clean and safe store environment
  • Keep open lines of communication with senior management and head office
  • Maintain stock receiving procedures and administration as indicated by the company
  • Maintain all staffing schedules
  • Conduct daily meetings discussing targets, stocks, marketing and resolutions needing to be implemented.
  • Report all safety, and inventory issues to management and find ways to prevent a reoccurrence.
  • Maintain and communicate all and any issues that arise in the daily running of the store.
  • To ensure corrective stock, banking and sales management structures, protocols and procedures are upheld and maintained DAILY
  • Greet customers within the first 90 seconds of entering the store
  • Help customers find items in the store and advise on promotional activity currently running UP SELL
  • Provide customers with information about items brand knowledge is a necessity
  • Ring up purchases at the till point understanding processes and procedures by reading and studying the handbook provided
  • Elevate complaints to senior management in a professional and courteous manner if they are unable to rectify the situation at store level
  • Keep track of inventory. Weekly hanger counts and bi- annual stocktakes are imperative to the success of our business, stock management protocols and procedures are vital to our business
