We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Store Standards Specialist to join our team. With 102 locations across the country we need someone who can drive our market leading store merchandising. As the leader in electrical distribution the country Westburne wants to ensure our customers have a great shopping experience in every location. While travelling you will meet with our district managers and store teams to enhance the overall presentation, cleanliness, and organization of our branches. This multifaceted position will involve reporting, training, and merchandising, ensure that our stores consistently meet and exceed our customers expectations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience in a retail environment, with a strong understanding of store operations and standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and motivate store staff.
  • Strong analytical and reporting abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in creating and maintaining standards documents, with a focus on clarity and accessibility.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment.

Responsibilities:

Reporting:

  • Develop audit questions that align to the Store Standards Guide.
  • Review and provide feedback on the monthly audits to assess compliance with established standards for cleanliness, organization, and presentation.
  • Compile comprehensive reports detailing findings, including areas of strength and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with district managers to develop action plans based on audits and provide ongoing support to ensure implementation.

Training:

  • Develop and update the Store Standards guide to ensure improvement in the field. Focusing on best practices for maintaining store standards and enhancing the overall customer experience.
  • Work closely with District managers to identify training needs, based on the reporting.
  • While travelling make sure District and Branch managers are walked through the audit, their store and given on site instruction/feedback based on their location.
  • Lead by example showing best in class merchandising practices and walking though how they are applicable to other areas of the store.

Merchandising:

  • Ensure that product displays, signage, and layouts align with company standard guidelines.
  • Provide guidance and support to store staff on effective merchandising techniques to optimize product visibility and drive sales.
  • Implement merchandising strategies in store updates, renovations, relocations and new stores setups.

Standards Document Creation:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive standards documents outlining expectations for store presentation, cleanliness, and organization.
  • Regularly update standards documents to reflect changes in company policies, branding, and industry best practices.
  • Ensure that standards documents are easily accessible to all store staff and serve as a reference for day-to-day operations.
