Castings Tasmania is the oldest foundry in the Southern Hemisphere, commencing business in 1834. We produce a wide variety of metal products from our Youngtown location, and thanks to continued growth, we are currently looking for a Stores and Logistics Trainee to join the team.
Working across all levels of the business, from management to frontline operations, you will gain valuable hands on experience, mentoring and support.
You will be working with the team responsible for ensuring timely in and outbound supply of products to our business, including raw materials and general supplies to ensure optimal performance of our facility. You’ll be working to learn all aspects of inbound and outbound supply chain both on-the-frontline and within the offices for smooth delivery of our products and services.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL:

• Be 100% safety minded
• Have excellent literacy and numeracy, as well as great time management
• Physically fit,
• willing and able to undertake manual/physical work
• Motivated with a genuine interest developing a long-term career
• Be reliable
• Have a high level of attention to detail
• Be able to get to-and-from work each day
  Additionally, experience and licenced with a forklift would be looked upon favourably.
  This is a full-time, permanent position, Monday to Friday, day shifts only. We’re a friendly and professional team and looking for someone who will be the right ‘fit’ for our team.   The successful candidate will undergo Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations while working to support our hardworking and professional team
