STORES TEAM LEADER

The client has an exciting opportunity for a Stores Team Leader to join their team. This position is well-suited to a person who is ideally having Stores Team Leader experience.

REQUIREMENTS:

The Stores Team Leader is responsible for the overall success of the Warehouse facility and the management of the team within. Leading and overseeing the safe coordination of all daily warehouse activities, you will manage product, quality and customer service standards to achieve the daily production requirements.
MUST hold a VALID UK driving license, it must be UK and not someone waiting to transfer or anything please.
Hours: Monday to Friday 7am - 430pm to begin, may need to move to rotational (they will need to be flexible to do rotational)

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures Health, Safety and Environmental procedures are understood and practised by the team
  • Plan, coordinate and monitor the safe receipt, storage and dispatch of goods including vehicle delivery and release
  • Ensure orders are processed efficiently and that the delivery of materials meets customer timescales & requirements
  • Supervise and control order picking, goods in, goods out operations to ensure accuracy with minimum handling and stock damages
  • Organise, facilities and manage stock take at regular intervals
  • Ensure all relevant procedures and processes are followed and are practised within the area
  • Deliver the product to the customer on time, every time, using appropriate methods
  • Operate visual delivery tracking systems in order that commodity status can be seen at a glance
  • Identify errors and eliminate root causes using robust problem-solving exercises
  • Sustain corrective actions to eliminate repeat issues
  • Control forklift truck management - license control, maintenance and training in your area
  • Oversee any planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment within the warehouse
  • Ensure security of the warehouse environment and maintain access controls
