Job Description

• Assist in vessel selection based on load capacity and operational suitability for specific trade areas.
• Execute voyage instructions for newly chartered vessels, ensuring adherence to operational procedures throughout the charter.
• Maximize vessel stowage efficiency to minimize shutouts/restows, optimize cargo operations, and maintain vessel safety.
• Update schedules for company’s operated vessels and distribute them accordingly.
• Monitor vessel reports to minimize delays and ensure accuracy, assisting the managers in alert monitoring for compliance.
• Provide speed adjustment instructions to Captains and advise on planned draft and load capacity for restricted ports.
• Support in coordinating downline berth windows with port agents to prevent delays or congestion.
• Screen DG/OOG requests for compliance with the in-house exclusion list, raising exceptions as needed.
• Monitor tug usage and address excess usage with Master/Assist Operations Manager.
• Arrange bunker orders and enter them into the procurement system.
• Monitor SDRs closely to ensure timely action and inform relevant parties in case of potential claims.
• Assist in PRF management to control costs.
• Update forecast and utilization details.
• Support Business Transformation initiatives, particularly regarding EDI integration and internal procedure development related to expertise areas.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum Diploma in Maritime Studies / University graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in shipping operational.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).
• Proficiency in the English language, both verbal and written.
