Job Description:
Langara College is currently modernizing its Student Information System by implementing Workday Student. This role will be critical for the ongoing sustainment of our new Student Information System when this project is complete. Reporting to the Manager, Workday Sustainment and Support, this role supports on-time delivery of prioritized system related tasks and prepares in depth business and analytic reports for decision-making purposes. The Strategic Analytics Coordinator role collects business requirements, prepares functional specifications documentation, prototypes defined functionality, deployment planning, test management, system configurations and implementation associated with the sustainment and enhancement of Workday. In addition, supports cross-functional teams with the Project Management Office, Operational Excellence, functional and technical stakeholders in implementing integrated business process improvement and transformation initiatives.
Qualifications Required

Education & Experience

  • Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role includes system support, analysis, and ERP implementation.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Superior analytical, problem-solving and system analysis skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite with intermediate knowledge of Excel.
  • Experience working in customer service environments.
  • Experience with an ITSM and JIRA system is an asset.
  • Experience working with integrated corporate HRIS such as Workday or similar cloud-based ERP preferred.

  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills. Strong analytical mind; demonstrated critical thinking and analytic skills with strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent collaborator and a team player.
  • Well-developed root-cause analytical skills with the ability to configure and troubleshoot issues and defects.
  • Ability to communicate with stakeholders of varying technical ability and subject matter expertise.
  • Ability to accurately collect information in order to understand and assess the clients’ needs and situation.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and provide timely follow-up and resolution.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities while working under pressure to meet critical, time sensitive deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Salary Range:
$37.91 - $55.60 per hour
Pay Grade:
Admin Paygrade 07
Compensation beyond the mid-point requires approval by the Public Sector Employers’ Council Secretariat (PSEC).
