Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Team Leader for Strategic Approvals, you will play a pivotal role in leading a dynamic team responsible for securing and maintaining the essential approvals required for exploration and production activities. This encompasses managing petroleum tenures, co-development agreements, project and environmental approvals, native title and cultural heritage agreements, and compliance with Underground Water Impact Report obligations.

MORE ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Strategically lead the team in securing tenure grants, navigating co-development agreements, and obtaining project and environmental approvals necessary for ongoing exploration and production activities.
  • Craft and execute strategies to align with and achieve IG’s strategic objectives.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for regulatory reform to enhance business value, aiming to streamline approval processes and increase efficiency.
  • Spearhead the achievement of business objectives for Non-operated and Exploration Assets, leveraging agile methodologies and management tools to monitor and direct project progress.
  • Ensure compliance across tenure management, environmental, groundwater, native title, and cultural heritage domains, preventing any unplanned losses or legal repercussions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key regulators and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and compliance with regulatory expectations.
