The Council is delivering an ambitious programme of regeneration and development across the borough. From town centre flagship schemes such as Forge Island, Riverside Gardens which is a new public park running alongside the River Don, the redevelopment of the markets and a new central library, to wider development schemes such as the Advanced Manufacturing Park (AMP), Advanced Manufacturing Innovation District (AMID), Junction 31 East Business Park, and Swinton, Dinnington and Wath town centre schemes, there’s a lot happening in the borough.
A key part of any regeneration is the importance of a clean and safe environment. Our vision is to create clean and welcoming neighbourhoods across our borough and in turn, secure our natural environment for the next generation. Rotherham has beautiful places to visit and is bustling with cultural and leisure activities, such as Wentworth Woodhouse, Clifton Park and our country parks.
As Strategic Director of Regeneration and Environment you will lead a large and diverse range of services which include Transport, Waste, Community Safety, Licensing, Planning and Business Investment. You will have a key role in developing and maintaining core relationships with the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority working to transform the landscape of Rotherham for the future.
For an informal discussion about the role please contact our advising consultants at GatenbySanderson, Philip Emms (07590225472) or Marnie Lodhi (07795 654 812). For further information or to apply please visit www.gatenbysanderson.com/job/GSe113090
