EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in the digital media, content production, or with a consultant background.
• Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with a proven track record of influencing business decisions through financial insights.
• Expert proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting, with a deep understanding of financial statements and performance indicators.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of explaining complex financial information in an understandable manner.
• Experience working in a start-up environment and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of autonomy.
• Experience translating complex questions into a solid, clean models in Excel / G-Sheets and generating broader audience conclusions in a clean looking, well thought out slide pack
  Naturally, being passionate and knowledgeable about podcasts, audio content, media, and entertainment is a big plus!

THIS IS THE ROLE

As the Strategic Finance Manager at Podimo, you’ll play a pivotal role in steering the company towards its financial goals. You’ll be responsible for providing insights that support decision-making, forecasting future financial outcomes, and developing strategies to ensure the financial health and growth of the company. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment and is passionate about the impact of audio storytelling. It is a high potential opportunity, where you’ll be working directly with the CFO, CEO and rest of the leadership team.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES IN THIS ROLE:

• Lead the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with Podimo’s strategic objectives.
• Analyze current and past financial data and performance, identifying trends and recommending improvements accordingly.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages for senior management and our board - highlighting key financial and operational metrics.
• Work closely with department heads and our Country Managers to develop and monitor departmental budgets, providing financial insights and guidance.
• Conduct variance analysis, pinpointing discrepancies between actuals and forecasts, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Working closely with the CFO on both fundraising and investor/board reporting, as well as M&A modeling & decision making
• Manage the company’s ESOP program, ensuring it aligns with our strategic goals and compliance requirements. This includes administering the plan and maintaining an accurate and up-to-date cap table on Capdesk.
