Description:

STRATEGIC FORECASTING ANALYST

Dalata Hotel Group plc is recruiting for a Strategic Forecasting Analyst to join our Central Office team at an exciting time of growth and development. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to play an influential role in an award-winning ambitious and expanding plc.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain further experience in strategic forecasting and make an impact on how a plc communicates and interacts with the analyst and investor community. The successful candidate will report to and be supported in their development by the Group Head of Investor Relations and Strategic Forecasting. Depending on the successful candidate’s experience, they will be responsible for the following areas:

  • Strategic forecasting including preparation of medium-term projections using a financial model, scenario planning to assess the financial impact of different strategic decisions and stress-testing, with confident communication of results to senior people across the business
  • Tracking sell-side analyst forecasts and participate and subsequently lead meetings with the analyst community
  • Craft a wide range of external financial communications such as stock exchange announcements and investor presentations
  • Keep up to date with industry and market developments and benchmarking against peers
  • Provide support on all aspects of investor relations including tracking and reporting investor engagement, shareholder analysis etc.
  • Liaising with people inside and outside of the organisation

Responsibilities:

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTITUDE REQUIRED FOR THE ROLE:

  • Post graduate professional qualification (ACA, ACCA or CFA) with excellent academics.
  • 0-3 years PQE with relevant experience in areas such as strategic planning and analysis, financial modelling, deal advisory or transactions services.
  • Have the ability to provide meaningful analysis and commentary to senior management.
  • Have demonstrated experience influencing senior management decision making and/or instigating change and improvements.
  • Take ownership and responsibility for the areas within their remit.
  • Takes pride in their work and demonstrates a natural focus on quality, accuracy and continuous improvement.
  • Be able to demonstrate their planning and organisation skills, ability to multi-task, plan and prioritise work.
  • Demonstrate initiative and an ability to deal with ambiguity, taking a proactive approach to ensure required results are delivered.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and have demonstrated an ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Be a strong team player who can support, challenge and influence colleagues at all levels.
  • Naturally want to develop and grow and assist others around them to do the same.
