Nutrition International’s Human Resources team is a dedicated global team of human resource experts. The team manages the day-to-day operations as well develops and implements HR programs, policies and practices that support the achievement of our corporate strategy and drive organizational effectiveness and employee engagement. We are a global organization with headquarters located in Ottawa, and regional offices in Africa and Asia. Currently, Nutrition International is seeking applications for a Strategic HR Business Partner to be based in Ottawa, Canada.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Global Human Resources Operations, the SHRBP acts as a trusted advisor and coach to their respective client group. Collaborates closely with functional groups to develop and implement change management and HR program solutions. The SHRBP delivers HR lifecycle management and acts as a conduit to other services such as Learning and Development and Safety and Security. Partners with client groups to develop org structure, builds capacity and owns the talent acquisition portfolio for the respective client group. Provides expertise in the following areas: talent acquisition career planning, performance management, coaching, data analysis, compensation and rewards, employee relations, recognition programs, and strategic development.

This role will:

  • Support client group to identify needs and resourcing gaps
  • Develop hiring plan and actively recruits to fill vacancies using top tier recruitment tools.
  • Complete talent reviews, competences assessment, identification & mobilization of high potentials, performance management and improvement, action plan per individual, resources & succession planning, recruitment and redeployment of people are in scope.
  • Analyze the current organizational capabilities to deliver the business strategy and will identify and act on gaps versus required capabilities.
  • Provide strategic and tactical consultation to leaders to create optimal organization design for the respective area and build comprehensive people plans to support achieving business ambitions.
  • Champions Organizational Change initiatives to develop a efficient business flows and a culture of high performance.
  • Provides recommendations to address employee relations which serve to preserve the employee-employer relationship, such as reducing risk, increasing employee retention and morale.
  • Managing conflict and dispute resolution.
  • Conducts and supports employee investigations.
  • Ensures legal compliance with all local employment laws, including but not limited to ESA, Human Rights, AODA, PIPEDA to minimize risk/exposure to the organization.
  • Supports leadership throughout all aspects of contract administration including the discipline and performance management process.
