ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced consultant to join our friendly, collaborative and multi-disciplinary business. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, with a passion for solving complex and novel challenges through structured thought processes and engagement with a wide range of stakeholders.
As a Strategic Nuclear Consultant, you will be integral to delivering high quality technical input, leading projects, developing business opportunities, and forging strong relationships within the UK nuclear industry and beyond. You will be expected to play a key role in the continuing growth of our business.
This role requires an in-depth understanding of the needs of a consultancy business, with a proven track record in opportunity capture, project execution and client engagement. You will work on a variety of projects that demand innovative thinking and a collaborative approach, helping clients navigate complex regulatory environments and achieve sustainable solutions.
We are operating under flexible working arrangements, with a mixture of office-based and home working environments. The role can be based at Harwell, Cumbria, Scrabster or Birchwood and other locations will be considered.
Jacobs has a leading role in decommissioning, waste strategy and disposal, underpinning the future management of radioactive waste, spent nuclear fuels and nuclear materials in safe, sustainable and environmentally appropriate ways. In the UK, we deliver a diverse range of projects for waste producers, waste management organisations and strategic authorities across all aspects of the waste lifecycle. We are delivering similarly interesting and exciting projects across the globe including projects for clients in Norway, Central & Eastern Europe and Japan.
