As part of their mission-driven approach, we are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Healthcare Procurement Specialist.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Healthcare Procurement Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing various supplier relationships, contracts, Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and presentations to medical professionals. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the organization obtains the best products and services to support our clinicians needs while adhering to budgetary constraints and regulatory requirements. This role requires proficiency in Excel, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for learning. This role is a hybrid role with in-office requirements two days a week in Plainfield, Indiana.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Healthcare Management, Supply Chain Management or related field.
Proven experience in procurement, supply chain management, or vendor relations, preferably in the healthcare industry.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications.
Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Supplier Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality products and services.
Contract Management: Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions while minimizing risks for the organization.
Request for Proposals (RFPs): Lead the RFP process, including drafting documents, evaluating proposals, and selecting vendors that best meet the organization’s needs.
Presentations to Doctors: Prepare and deliver presentations to medical professionals to introduce new products or services and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
Excel Expertise: Utilize advanced Excel functions to analyze data, track procurement metrics, and generate reports to support decision-making. (Pivot tables, V-Lookups for example).
Passion for Learning: Stay informed about industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in healthcare procurement to drive innovation and efficiency within the organization.
Follow-Up: Ensure timely follow-up with vendors, internal stakeholders, and clients to address any issues or concerns and maintain open lines of communication.
