The opportunity
In this newly created opportunity, we are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Strategic Workforce Planning and Organisational Designer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for strategic workforce planning in the context of a transformational program, as well as establishing pragmatic strategic workforce plans to inform long-term capability needs as well as short-term decision making to ensure we have the right people in the right roles at the right time.

Your new role

  • Work with Senior Leaders to drive the evolution of the functions operating model, ensuring the right alignment between SWP, organisation design, capability and functional strategy
  • Contribute to the development of QBE’s Workforce Planning and Organisation Design strategies through a 3-5 roadmap focused on improving maturity and delivering on enterprise strategic priorities.
  • Contribute to the delivery of methodologies, frameworks, tools, systems and processes.
  • Support the delivery of the Workforce Planning solution practices across key functions and People Leaders.
  • Collaborate with People Business Partners and Functional Leadership Teams to understand business strategies and identify workforce and capability needs.
  • Provide specialist advice and solutions to People Business Partners and Senior Leaders on strategic workforce planning solutions to address changing workforce demographics, resolve business challenges and realise opportunities.
  • Define workforce strategies / change plans for key functional groups in partnership with Senior Leaders and the People team.

About you

  • Previous experience in strategic workforce planning, ideally from a management consulting background.
  • Strong relationship management and influencing skills with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong skillset in data analysis to make informed decisions.
  • Previous experience in the insurance or financial services industry preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of workforce planning and org design principles and practices.
  • A commercially focused and pragmatic approach to workforce planning outcomes
