Responsibilities:
Experience in researching and developing policy and/or strategy , preferably within the higher education sector, or relevant industry.
A thorough understanding of the higher education research environment (or ability to quickly acquire), and knowledge of the national and international drivers impacting university research to be able to make strategic recommendations to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research).
Excellent analytical skills in order to develop, implement and monitor strategic plans and initiatives.
Strong project management and organisational skills to effectively coordinate and implement University-wide projects.
Outstanding written communication skills to craft submissions to government and other relevant external stakeholders.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate to a range of stakeholders internal and external to the University, and to build consensus.
An understanding of university governance would be an advantage.
You must also be able to demonstrate personal attributes consistent with the University’s values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry, Personal Excellence and Courage.
Benefits & Remuneration
This ongoing, full-time position attracts an annual salary of $136,326 to $138,384 pa plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
