S&PD Specialist position sits in the Strategy & Project Delivery team covering the UK market. In this role you will contribute to the delivery of key commercial initiatives, projects, and programs into the business. Increasing the commercial impact of the affiliate and delivering against the OGSM. You will:

  • Lead projects or project streams belonging to broader programs, being accountable for the delivery of the defined outcomes to scope, on time, and budget
  • Prepare scenarios and business cases to assess the commercial feasibility and potential return on investment of new initiatives and projects
  • Provide support, assisting business owners in the scoping and planning of commercial activities that benefits from a project base and agile ways of working.
  • Promote a Customer Centric Organisation (CCO) across the organisation, being led by data and in-sights executed in a program-based way, utilising methodologies such as FFWD

Responsibilities:

S&PD Specialist position sits in the Strategy & Project Delivery team covering the UK market. In this role you will contribute to the delivery of key commercial initiatives, projects, and programs into the business. Project Management – you will be responsible for leading projects or project workstreams (to a defined size, budget, FTE count) that are part of broader programs, end to end, to deliver the outcomes as defined in the business case.

  • Work with the project sponsor / program manager to define project or workstream scope, key deliverables, and performance indicators
  • Prepare project / workstream plans, including resourcing requirements. Lead and co-ordinate the assigned resource and external project stakeholders across the project work plan & phases to ensure that stage gate milestones are met
  • Identify and assess key risks and implement the necessary mitigations to ensure the project outcome are achieved. Take ownership for resolving non forecasted issues, preparing resolution options and recommendations to be validated through the governance structure, ensuring validated solutions are implemented.
  • Prepare regular reports to business sponsor / program manager & PMO on project status. Prepare necessary documentation for stage gate approvals, in line with the project lifecycle, through the governance framework
  • Work collaboratively with other Strategy and Program Delivery members to analyse and keep track of the connections and linkages of the owned stream with other streams and projects, ensuring alignment of intents and approaches.
  • Take ownership for performing post investment reviews, planning & handover to BAU, and capturing learnings of the project or project stream.
  • Ensure project / stream closure following appropriate due diligence process and closure documentation

Project & Initiative Business Case development – You will be responsible for ensuring the timely drafting of business cases & project charters for approval through the governance framework.

  • In Collaboration with busines & support functions (CX, Finance, Business planning etc) coordinate the gathering of information required to form the initial business case.
  • Support any required modelling activity to determine both consumer and business value across a range of scenarios.
  • Ensure the business case, including expected benefits, is maintained throughout the lifecycle of the project through to closur
